A 23-year-old woman from Narol, Ahmedabad, has filed an FIR alleging domestic assault by her husband and brother-in-law after she refused to immediately sign a cheque linked to her bank account.
🔍 Incident Details
According to the FIR:

The incident took place on November 29 around 9 PM at the couple’s residence.

The 24-year-old husband demanded a signed cheque to withdraw money from the woman’s bank account.

The woman stated she would hand it over on Monday as the bank was closed for the weekend.

This allegedly enraged her husband, who began verbally abusing and repeatedly slapping her.

The father-in-law and brother-in-law also confronted her over the cheque.
⚠️ Physical Assault Allegations
Even after handing over the cheque, the assault reportedly continued:

The brother-in-law allegedly grabbed her by the throat.

The husband is accused of kicking her on the back.

The violence only stopped when neighbours overheard the commotion and gathered outside the house.
🚑 Medical Treatment & Police Action
Later that night, the woman was dropped at her parental house in Vastral. The following day, she experienced severe body pain and dizziness and was taken to a private hospital by her brother.
Subsequently, she approached the police, leading to the registration of an FIR under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) sections related to assault and abetment.
